Wright, Reyes in 2010 MLB All-Star Game; Pelfrey Snubbed

The 2010 MLB All-Star Game rosters were announced yesterday.   As for the NL All-Star Team, 2 Mets players will be headed to Anahiem for the the July 13th game. 3B David Wright was voted in by the fans as the NL’s starting 3rd Basemen. Two days before the deadline, he was in a tight race with Phillies 3B Placido Polanco for the lead in voting (Which BTW was only 22,000 votes).  Also on the NL All-Star team is SS Jose Reyes. Reyes was selected by Phillies Manager Charlie Manuel as a reserve player to Marlins SS Hanley Ramirez.

What was a complete surprise to me was that P Mike Pelfrey was snubbed of a spot on the NL Roster. Pelfrey is currently 10-2 with a 2.93 ERA. Pelfrey is having as good a year as Ublado Jiminez of the Rockies, and has won alot of games for the Mets. Although i’m sure that something could happen to a pitcher that could put Pelfrey in the mix for a roster spot, but i feel as though Big Pelf should’ve had a spot in the first place.
