Rising Apple Report, Ep. 83 - Deadline Over, and August on its Way...

The Rising Apple Report is remarkably already 83 episodes in, and today, we present to you a Trading Deadline Special! I will host, with site editor Danny Abriano and staff writer Rich Sparago joining him for the piping hot Mets talk.
Can’t say, though, the trading deadline was that special for the New York Mets, but Sandy Alderson has never been one to make a deal for the sake of making it, and it seems none was in place for him. Still, it would have been nice to see a move made with the team playing such energized baseball of late. What does the lack of an impact move mean? Does it mean he likes the team as currently constructed to make a good showing out of the 2nd half? Do the guys in that clubhouse get a boost that the front office thinks they are rounding into form? Or do they think, “Man, if we could have gotten ONE more bat…” We’ll continue to dissect the Mets and their thinking, and speculate on what the waiver deadline period could bring.
So, join us at 8pm ET for this offday, trading deadline Rising Apple Report Special!
