7/24 Mets Game Recap: Gee Rocked as Mets Lose 9-1 to Brew Crew

The New York Mets lost to the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 9-1 on Thursday evening. Dillon Gee struggled for the 2nd straight outing, giving up 6 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings pitched.

The Mets lone run was a solo shot to center by Lucas Duda in the 7th that made it 6-1 at the time. That was one of only 2 hits the Mets offense scattered in the game.

The slaughter started slowly as Dillon gave up a solo shot to catcher Jonathan Lucroy in the 1st inning to make it 1-0. He gave up 4 runs in the 2nd on a Jean Segura triple, a Carlos Gomez single and a Jonathan Lucroy single as well. They added one for good measure in the 3rd on a Khris Davis double.

The cherries on top came off of Daisuke Matsuzaka in the 6th and 7th innings with a Khris Davis solo shot and a Ryan Braun 2-run home run, respectively.
