As expected, Wednesday’s Mets game in Philadelphia has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up on June 2 when the Mets return to Philadelphia – making the original four-game set a five-game affair.
With the postponement, the Mets are expected to simply push all of their starting pitchers back a day, meaning Bartolo Colon will take the ball for Thursday’s series-opener in Colorado.
Wednesday’s game getting rained out and rescheduled for June 2 also means that what was a 10-game road-trip that begins at the end of May will now be an 11-game trip.
