Embedded: Rising Apple Report Ep. 59 With Maggie Wiggin

On Rising Apple Report Episode 59, Maggie Wiggin from Metsblog joined Sam Maxwell and me. We talked about Mets who have worn number 59, and showed some respect to current pitching coach Dan Warthen in the process. We talked about Alay Soler and Guillermo Mota too.

Sep 27, 2013; New York, NY, USA; New York Mets pitching prospect Noah Syndergaard is presented with his Sterling Award before a game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Citi Field. Sterling Awards go to the Mets

We also discussed some of the pressing issues facing the Mets as spring training goes into full swing. We talked about the leadoff spot in the order, if Noah Syndergaard should start the season with the Mets, and the logic behind using young starters in the bullpen. And guess what? We even had time to discuss Stephen Drew, and just how much signing him would benefit the Mets. You’ll hear some differing opinions on that.

This was a fun and informative discussion, that we think you’ll really enjoy. It’s even a little extra special, since Sam called in from the shadow of the Golden Gate Bridge, as he was vacationing in San Francisco!

So give it a listen. It’ll help get you even more revved up for the spring training games that start THIS WEEK!

Note: There were technical difficulties during the first four minutes of the podcast. They were rectified after that point.
