On last week’s Rising Apple Report, Ted Berg joined Sam Maxwell, Mike Lecolant, and myself. We discussed Stephen Drew, and the number 57 (and of course Johan Santana, who won the “57″ race like Secretariat at the Kentucky Derby). Click below to hear our thoughts on the Mets’ off-season, our memories of Johan as a Met, and the work that Sandy Alderson still has to do before March 31st. This podcast is worth the wait!

I've been a Mets fan since the early 1970s. I had the opportunity to attend all home games of the 1986 post season. Being at Shea when Orosco joyfully threw his glove in the air still ranks among my most cherished memories. I closely observe the machinations of the ballclub, as they aspire to once again sit atop the baseball world. I'm also a weather geek, and write a blog for WxEdge (affiliated with WTNH television in CT). When I'm not engulfed in the orange and blue, I follow the NY Giants and try to avoid losing every week with my fantasy footbal team.
