Tonight at Shea Stadium, in front of over 35,000 fans, the Mets took on the Giants in the first game of a three game series.

The pitchers duel between Jerry Koosman and Juan Marichal didn’t disappoint.  Both Koosman and Marichal went the full 10 innings, as the Mets blanked the Giants 1-0 to up their record t0 58-68.

With Kossman and Marichal putting up zeroes, the game went into the 10th inning scoreless.  In the top half of the frame, Koosman walked around a leadoff walk while keeping the Giants off the board.
