Spend The Day In Flushing With Mets and US Open Tickets

After finishing up this weekend’s series against the Tigers, the Mets will remain at home for a four game set against division rival Philadelphia.  New York has played only .500 ball during the month of August, but with the emergence of players such as Flores, Lagares, Wheeler, and, of course, Harvey, fans remain entertained by the team and attendance turnout has remained rather steady.

Beginning this week, there will be another reason to attend Flushing Meadows to watch some professional sports: the first sessions of the U.S. Open tennis tournament.  The tennis greats will arrive to New York this weekend to compete in the United States’ tennis grand slam event.  The best thing about the U.S. Open?  During the first few days, the tournament has both day and night sessions, a great opportunity to grab some US Open tickets and see both the Mets and world-class tennis on the same day!

Championship Tennis Tours has broken down the pricing levels for all four Mets games next week, along with the U.S. Open sessions that don’t overlap those games.  From 11am in the morning to 11pm at night, you could be enjoying every athletic delight Flushing Meadows has to offer.  The best bargain is clearly Thursday since you can see the Mets ($13) and the U.S. Open night session ($35) for under $50 combined.  Monday is the highest get-in price for these four sessions of the U.S. Open at $95, but you can see Zack Wheeler on the bump that night for only $14, a rather tempting offer.

In terms of combined average price, Thursday is the most expensive at $364 followed by the opening session for the U.S. Open Monday at $272.  Tuesday and Wednesday are $245 and $259 respectively with the difference being primarily higher prices for Wednesday’s morning tennis session.

After next week’s series against Philadelphia, the Mets won’t return until the champion has been crowned so this is the only opportunity you’ll have to see the Mets and the U.S. Open.  It’s not every day you get to enjoy two different professional sporting events only a quick walk away.
