Tonight at Busch Stadium, the Mets took on the Cardinals in the final game of their three game set.
Seaver settled in from there, and the Mets evened things at 1 in the fifth when John Milner led off the inning with a solo homer. In the sixth, the Mets went ahead 2-1 when a two out double off the bat of Rusty Staub drove in Felix Millan.
Tom Seaver took it from there, as he held the Cardinals scoreless from there while tossing a complete game to secure the victory for New York.
