Tonight in Atlanta, the Mets were shut out by Atlanta 2-0.

Tom Seaver got the start for the Mets and pitched extremely well.  Over his seven innings of work, he gave up 2 runs on 3 hits.

Unfortunately for the Mets, they were unable to break through against Braves starter Pat Dobson, who tossed a complete game shutout.

The only runs the Braves needed came in the fourth, on back to back homers by Hank Aaron and Darrell Evans.
