Dillon Gee (3-0, 3.44 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 1.56 K/BB): Since officially joining he rotation, Gee has posted a 3.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 1.20 K/BB–however, his BB/9 has been a whopping 5.0. Supposedly, Gee’s greatest asset is his command, yet as seen above, he has been lacking it. The youngster’s luck might soon run out unless he rediscovers the command he’s shown to have in the minors (4.05 K/BB). (Career vs. Cubs: no record)

Casey Coleman (2-3, 6.03 ERA, 1.89 WHIP, 1.00 K/BB): Coleman was summoned to the rotation after starter Randy Wells hit the disabled list. The 23 year-old has been mostly terrible this season, yet even in his “good” starts, he’s still been “bad” (i.e. threw a shutout against the Marlins last week, but still walked five batters). Even though Wells is back from injury, since Matt Garza was just placed on the DL, Coleman’s tenure with the Cubs will be intact for the near future (seemingly despite the results). (Career vs. Mets: no record)
