FanSided NL East Pitching “All-Star” Votes Are In!

Unlike the lineup portion of the FanSided All-Stars, in the pitching section, the Mets actually have some representation! After a grueling back-and-forth voting process, Francisco “K-Rod” Rodriguez emerged as the “All-Star” closer for the NL East. Let’s just say he punched through the competition.

Roy Halladay
Cliff Lee
Roy Oswalt
Josh Johnson
Tommy Hanson

Runners up: Cole Hamels, Tim Hudson, Johan Santana

Ryan Madson (Setup)
Francisco Rodriguez (Closer)

Runners up (setup): Collin Balester, Craig Kimbrell

Runners up (closer): Ryan Madson, Brad Lidge

So there you have it. Even though Ryan Madson almost represented the NL East as both our setup man and closer, alas, the Mets received their first piece of redemption this season.
