Adam,
I agree with much of what you say in your "report card". The most important comment you make is when will Reyes grow up and use his talent to make the mets go. Like a victorino or crawford. He needs to understand that the most fun in baseball is the playoffs. It is incumbent on M & M (manual and minaya) to teach him that reality. Manual needs to put this team on notice that the winning is what matters most and that is what is going to put the fun in the Mets players. He must make losing miserable for these guys.
Injuries notwithstanding the mets have not lived up to their potential for the past 3 years. When the injured players get back they better deliver or it will be over for M & probably M as well.
I also disagree with you about Wright. He needs to forget about power and play to drive the ball. If he does that the HR will come. He seems intimidated by citi. 42 RBI's with over half the season gone should be embarrasing for him, protection in the lineup or not. His 12 errors shows something is wrong in his head. M needs to fix it or else.
How about that young shortstop in the minors. Maybe it's time to trade a big name (for Halliday) and shake this team up.
