It has gotten so bad, the Mets are looking for Oliver Perez as their savior tonight. The same Oliver Perez who is coming off a knee injury and still walked the ballpark during his minor-league stint in Buffalo.
If he gets shelled tonight, and what rational Mets fan doesn’t fully expect that to happen, this could be Omar Minaya’s lowest hour as Mets GM. His $36 Million dollar headcase…essentially reduced to a waste of a roster spot. The boos could get louder tonight than you’ve heard them in many years.

I think the mets must think like George in Seinfeld. When he did everything the opposite of what his instincts were, things began to go his way. Looks like it might work. Of course they should have broken this game open a few times but were unable to get a BIG hit. In the top of the 6th and we will see if the lack of killer instinct will cost them later.
