But any moves that are isolated will be stop gap by definition. They need to retool in the off season and change the culture of the whole team. They need to get rid of guys who think hitting a home run in a 5- 1 loss is worthy of 20 handshakes. They need to dump players who play for the minute and don't realize winning a game is only a means to an end. If that means trading Reyes or Beltran or Wright for that matter, then so be it. The current culture of this mets mets team is a losing one. that has been shown again and again over the last 3 seasons.
